Guadalupe River State Park
Located just a 45-minute drive from San Antonio is Guadalupe River State Park. Known for its great swimming holes, the park welcomes locals and tourists who want to cool off from the Texas heat. Whether you want to tube, swim, fish or kayak, this river offers something for everyone and is a great place to beat the summer heat when temps rise up to the high 90s. The Japanese Tea Garden is located in the heart of San Antonio and is a great place to exchange the hustle and bustle of the city for quieter moments with your friends or family. Features of the Tea Garden include a lush year-round garden and floral display with shaded walkways, stone bridges, a 60-foot waterfall and koi ponds. The history of the Japanese Tea Garden extends over 90 years. When it first opened, it operated as a rock quarry. Today, it’s one of San Antonio’s most-loved cultural resources.

San Antonio Missions National Historical Park
You can’t visit San Antonio without seeing the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, which is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site preserving four of the five Spanish frontier missions in the city. If you or anyone in your group is a history buff, this park should be on your bucket list. The park holds 300 years of rich history and culture and features four Spanish colonial mission sites that offer recreation opportunities for visitors: Mission San Jose, Mission Concepcion, Mission San Juan, and Mission Espada.
