What do you think of when you hear the term “speakeasy”? Do your ears immediately perk up? If that’s the case, then you’ll want to take your group to Akai in the Dallas Arts District. This new, secret bar opened in early 2019, and it can be accessed through the front of Musume, a local restaurant.
Once you walk through the restaurant, take a left and walk through the kitchen and past the storage area. When you see the white cinderblock wall, hang a right and then take a final left into a red tomb. This is the front of Akai.
The cocktail menu is filled with fun and refreshing drinks with an Asian twist, including a green-tea-infused whisky drink and a cucumber sake.
